Hello there Forza redditors, I play Horizon 4 and Motorsport 7, and are looking to upgrade from my cheap Thrustmaster wheel to the Logitech G920 wheel with shifter (I play on Xbox). But I was wondering something, and need your guys’ help. The shifter is only a 6 Spd, so I was wondering what happened when you are trying to shift in cars with more than 6 gears (e.g. Supercars with 7 Spd DCTs, some Mustangs and big trucks to name a few)? Does the game automatically tune all cars to have 6 gears or less, do you have to switch to the paddles, or is there some kind of hack where you go straight from 6th to 1st and it becomes 7th or something else entirely? All help will be much appreciated!

Now that I've caught your attention let me say I agree many of the newer NFS games are great but none of them compare to the punchy action packed racing and chasing of Most Wanted. EA needs to bring NFS back to car guys and give us the, "oh I've seen this on the street." Not just classics and supercars I loved racing a Golf or a SS Cobalt sure it was not super realistic but damn I miss it all of the controls in newer games seem numb and slow you don't get that push and shove everyone around the whole race because by the end of the first lap you have a 100m lead no matter the difficulty. Now let's talk about the soundtracks cause damn most wanted really came for the jugular on that every song was faced paced unless you were in your garage or a modshop you never wanted to just sit and enjoy the view most wanted was gritty dark and had an amazing story line EA just doesn't care anymore to me NFS: Heat is just the (2015) need for speed with different cars and the day night idea is cool if it would've been executed better I love the game nonetheless but it's just not the fast paced racing game the NFS should be.

Dear Rockstar and legit players,

GTA V is a mature game, so surely you know most people playing are above the age of 18. We have jobs, school, and real life priorities that take up significant portions of our time. So please, if you are unemployed and have literally no responsibilities in life please do not patronize us on playing illegitimately.

When we do get the chance to game, we’d rather not do 226 contact missions to afford a single supercar! Perhaps making some contact missions that don’t pay peanuts will incentivize us to play legitimately.

We’d also rather not rely on 3 other strangers to be able to start a heist which they will likely back out of if they do not get an even cut when they’ve done absolutely nothing. Surely an hour of my time was not worth 75k.

I understand we agreed to your terms of service when it comes to cheating, and you want a healthy game environment, so how about banning god mode abusers or invisibility abusers, maybe even get the PC community under control!

But no! Only when it comes to money will you take action! Who the fuck buys shark cards anymore? And if you do its probably because it is absurdly hard to generate cash! Was the $1,000,000,000 in the first 24 hours of GTA V’s release not enough? Is the now $6,000,000,000 not enough? Give us a break.

If you didn’t make everything in that game so ridiculously unattainable maybe people wouldn’t resort to money glitches!

Congrats, you just wiped over 1,000,000 users on an 8 year old game that they will now never touch again. Great marketing move!

Why are some Supercars which have worse stats (speed, acceleration, traction etc) more expensive than ones with better stats? The Vagner is cheaper than both the reaper and tyrant yet it outclasses both cars in almost every stat.

I just want to spend hundreds of hours grinding for upgrades and new cars to tide me over for GT7. Will this game offer a similar career mode experience to GT3/4/5 or even 6? I know the game has issues but the career mode is basically the only thing I care about in racing games so I can forgive a lot of shortcomings in other aspects.

My main concern is with the early game. Even if racing games have a career mode that starts with amateur leagues and shitty cars, it never lasts long. I've seen some complaints about the grind which reassures me but I just want to make sure before I waste more money on another racing game only to find myself racing in a supercar after a few hours.

So my gf recently got into the habit of spamming me with 15-40 TikTok videos a day, at first it was not a big deal there were plenty funny and cute videos and i thought it was nice of her to send them to me.

About a month ago tho, she started to send me TikTok vids, where girls cry over their shitty boyfriend, and how they are getting cheated on, and how sad they feel. It was very weird. Mostly these videos are just bashing boyfriends for literally anything, hell she even sent me video where a girl was upset because his boyfriend didn't buy her the correct gucci belt. Sometimes the TikTok vids are about how some boys spoil their girl with expensive stuff, like really expensive (supercars, houses, greyhounds and jewelry). It really makes me feel bad since I can't afford to buy her that many stuff, cuz I'm still in college, but I try my best to cherish her as much as I am able to.

So I confronted her many times over the past weeks how uncomfortable she makes me feel with these kind of videos and I would like her to stop sending them to me, or I will ignore them. She got mad and said I don't care about her. What in the fuck should I do? I don't want these vids to ruin my mood, how should I appropriately solve this problem?

When the grind in a video game is fun it doesn't really feel like a grind. A good example for me is Modern Warfare. Like a lot of people I heavily dislike a lot of things about that game, especially the maps. But I can have a bit of fun and pop off in the Shoot the Ship playlist - which consists of the two fan favourite maps Shoot House and Shipment.

I can literally play that shit for hours per day and not really get too bored. I consider that good grinding. I'm grinding my Battle Pass but not really paying attention to it, just having fun. Meanwhile the GTA grind to me is boring as fuck. The same copy & paste delivery missions, over and over again. Back in 2013 I actually had a lot of fun grinding. Everything paid a somewhat decent amount relative the price of stuff. If I remember correctly, I could make 50k to 100k per event depending on what it was and how well it was completed. Me and friends used to play races, deathmatches, contact missions, gang wars, survivals, etc. We would have a handful of stuff that we would always pay cough Rooftop Rumble cough, but we would always find new stuff each day to play. About 2 days worth of playing hours of different stuff meant we had an Adder. Imo the economy was much fairer and it incentivised diversity - you could play whatever you wanted with friends and make enough money after a few days for what you wanted.

There's a lot of content in GTA Online. The game nowadays however sticks you in a small box of things to do that's good at making money - the content of such is both incredibly boring/repetitive and highly frustrating. Many of us, after grinding tens of million or hundreds of millions are completely bored and exhausted.

What do fucking people expect us to do? Grind like a UPS driver for thousands of hours just to buy stuff that would take me way less time in other games? I want a car in The Crew 2? I have fun playing a few Hypercar races for a few hours and boom got it. I want a a new DLC weapon in Modern Warfare? I grind the Battle Pass for a few hours and boom got it. I want a high-end vehicle in GTA Online? It takes fucking forever and is waaaaaaay less fun than the other games grind. Racing for money to get cars in The Crew 2 is fun, deathmatches for weapons in Modern Warfare is fun. Literally being a fucking UPS driver is BORING. I did NOT buy GTA to roleplay a fucking UPS driver. Nobody who has grown up with GTA and bought every game buys GTA to play like this. It's fucking shit gameplay and boring as fuck.

I will glitch until a fun, high reward option is available for me to play for hours at a time.

See many of us are not upset about the concept of grinding. Sure we can debate about the level of grind in this game. But what we really care about is fun. It's a video game after all and many games have a fun grind.

See grinding is designed well when it actually aligns with the core gameplay and fun of the game, when the reason you bought it in the first place is the core element of the grind. Nobody loves the GTA series because they like delivering things a million times a week repetitively to earn GTA $. We love GTA because of the figuratively endless amount of things we can do. Land racing, air racing, sea racing, rampages, sports, combat challenges, mission time trials, missions, heists, etc. You get the idea.

Back when the game first released, the payouts for all this fun stuff was fairly decent. I had fun with friends playing a collection of our favourite races, deathmatches, contact missions, an occasional heist, etc. Then year by year they cut the payouts and only eventually gave us business to earn decent levels of cash. Which btw take forever to acquire and make profit from, as you need to use the low payout methods to finally have enough to buy them then buy the overpriced upgrades as they're useless without them. Once you have finally managed to grind for weeks to have upgraded businesses running, none of the gameplay that comes with it is fun or GTA-ish. What I pictured before buying business in GTA Online was me emulating a mob boss, sending my thugs to do my bidding, earning money from my invested drugs and selling them, etc. Sort of like how it works in other games like The Godfather and Scarface. But no, in this game you don't actually feel like a boss even if you're technically the boss of the business and paid for everything. You have to do almost everything yourself and that amounts to roleplaying as a UPS driver.

All the businesses essentially follow the exact same copy & paste gameplay formula which boils down to role playing as a UPS driver after killing some AI, with overpowered aim-bot AI or players trying to take you down during delivery (with lobbies full of God mode players that Rockstar refuses to punish and patch). Wow, much gameplay. Such fun.

10/10 - IGN ~ "Like being a UPS driver but somehow even less fun"

It's either bore yourself to death with the businesses, which are no fun and imo anti-GTA in gameplay. Or you play the low payout content for a loooooong ass time to the point that it becomes just as boring as the grind is too long. Or you can glitch money.

Shark Cards as a micro-transaction (funny how they think the cost is micro) wouldn't be an issue either if everything was decently priced. The most expensive Shark Card costs £64.99 and gives $8 million dollars. Do you know how shit value that is? People used to complain about Activision with Call of Duty, how the £35 Season Pass was overpriced. That Season Pass used to bring about 8 new Multiplayer maps, 4 Zombies maps and around 6 new weapons. That's 18 pieces of content, 12 pieces (the maps) arguably cost more money to design and create than cars/weapons. A £64.99 Shark Card would get you 2 upgraded F1 cars. That's disgusting value.

I would still consider GTA $ overpriced if it was £0.5 for every GTA $1 million, but at least that would be semi-acceptable. That would equate to a $2 million supercar costing £1. Just as a comparison, the racing game Assetto Corsa sells DLC car packs. Looking at a random pack, the Prestige Pack DLC - it's £5.79 for 9 cars. That's 9 cars that are x10 more detailed than GTA cars and also cost the developers real manufacturer licenses to use in their game. A car in a racing simulator costs way more to create and is being sold for way cheaper than a made up, cartoon looking GTA car.

Even if for whatever reason you're a diehard grinder and your grinded money is what you get your ego from. You literally cannot deny Rockstar is as bad as other AAA developers when it comes to extorting money out of people. Heck, they are objectively worse now considering how disgusting the value of Shark Cards are and how other AAA developers have adopted the consumer friendly Battle Pass system.

You can virtue signal and stroke your grinding ego all you want about this game. The fact of the matter is A LOT are NOT happy with the GTA economy and grind. A LOT of people are NOT happy about how overpriced Shark Cards are. These are legitimate largescale issues with the GTA economy that you cannot ignore or brush under the table.

So my birthday is coming up soon and this is going to be the first birthday with my mom in almost 10 years. We had a falling out back then but recently I decided to let her back into my life and so I moved across the country to stay with her because she's changed dramatically from how she used to be. She's been asking me what I want to do for my birthday since it's in about 2 months and she has always done some pretty big stuff for her birthday so she wants to know what big thing I want to do for my birthday. I don't do big things for my birthday. I'm turning 25 and ever since I've turned 18 I've hated having birthdays. All I've done since then was get drunk with friends and have dinner with my family, which is all really nice but all my birthday is to me is a reminder that I'm getting older without actually progressing in life.

So needless to say, I've never gone anywhere or done anything cool or exciting. I'm a complete introvert so going out to new places without knowing anything about it is just stressful to me and I have an extremely hard time having fun when I'm in a place I'm unfamiliar with. To add onto that, I grew up in a very low income household so going out and travelling or doing anything spectacular wasn't an option even if i wanted to, while on the other hand, my mom is fairly well off and gets to travel whenever she wants.

Yesterday I finally figured out what I wanted to do, which was camping. I told my mom that all I want to do is go for a nice long hike and camp with the middle of nowhere and just enjoy nature. She immediately shot down that idea saying "Yeah I'm not doing that." and after that I was pretty much out of ideas. She made suggestions of skydiving, driving supercars on a track, or going to a large city near our home just to spend the day there. Those are all things she wants to do. I get incredibly motion sick very easily so skydiving is not an option at all. I've never been interested in supercars and she knows this. She knows I'm an introvert so I wouldnt like being in a huge city I've never been in.

I finally came up with something that I wanted to do that I know she would be cool with, which was just going to Chicago to see the Shedd aquarium (I work with fish and love animals so aquariums are one of my favorite places to be). I knew she would be okay with this because it was the same distance from us as the other city she wanted to go to but she still said that she doesnt think it would be a good idea. The only difference between doing what she suggested and what I suggested would be that we would go to the aquarium for a few hours.

I genuinely don't know what to do, she keeps asking me what I want to do but says no to everything I tell her I want to do. I'm thinking of just telling her I don't want to do anything and just taking a few days off work. I always get depressed around my birthday but this year is so much worse.

2022 Chevrolet Corvette Z06: What We Know About the Twin-Turbo Super-’Vette

If the Chevrolet Corvette Stingray’s nearly 500-hp V-8 engine fails to entice you, then the forthcoming Corvette Z06’s 650-hp V-8 ought to do the trick. And it’s not just the horsepower output that’s changed. The Z06’s engine will be an entirely different animal from its lesser sibling, increasing performance and bringing an entirely different character to the car. Read on to find out why.

2022 Chevrolet Corvette Z06: Twin-Cam, Twin-Turbo, Flat-Plane

Unlike the LT2 engine of the Stingray, the Z06’s V-8 will forgo pushrod valves and a cross-plane crank for dual-overhead cams and a flat-plane crank. The resulting engine should possess the rev-happy nature and aural thrills of the Corvette C8.R’s V-8, which also happens to use twin cams and a flat-plane crank.

While Chevy will not drop the C8.R’s 5.5-liter engine into the Z06, the two Corvettes’ V-8s are expected to share a number of common pieces. The Z06’s V-8 should be smaller than its race car kin, reportedly sharing parts (and perhaps its entire block) with Cadillac’s Blackwing V-8 engine. We’d wager it’ll ultimately displace in the neighborhood of 4.2 liters. V-8s using flat-plane crankshafts lack the natural balance of a cross-plane crank, and larger displacements exacerbate the vibration and harshness of this arrangement. By limiting the displacement, employing lightweight pistons, and using a short-stroke crank, we expect the Z06 to be tolerable for owners who regularly drive their cars in traffic.

To compensate for its lesser displacement, the Z06’s engine is due to adopt a pair of turbochargers. Unlike Cadillac’s Blackwing engine, which houses two turbos in the valley between its heads, the Z06’s V-8 is expected to rely on outboard-mounted turbos. All in, the high-performance Corvette model purportedly produces 650 hp. Like the Stingray, look for the Z06 to rely on an eight-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox to send all those horses to its rear wheels. Revisions to the car’s suspension and a set of sticky summer tires—that are properly wide at the rear—are sure to keep the Z06’s power from overwhelming its drive wheels and chassis.

2022 Chevrolet Corvette Z06: Carbon Fiber Fever

In addition to the added power, the 2022 Corvette Z06 will welcome a number of weight-saving measures. Don’t worry, creature comforts will still abound, and there’s no indication the Z06 will ditch the likes of the Stingray’s large digital gauge cluster or touchscreen infotainment system.

Nevertheless, look for the model to feature a number of lightweight materials for items such as the exhaust, rear wing, front splitter, and even its wheels. Specifically, the 2022 Corvette Z06 will offer buyers the option to equip it with a set of carbon-fiber wheels. While such a setup is not new (vehicles from Porsche and Ford offer carbon fiber wheels), it’s still a relatively rare—and surely expensive—way for road-going cars to go about shedding mass.

2022 Chevrolet Corvette Z06: Shut Up and Take Our Money!

Although we hear the current pandemic is forcing Chevy to push back the Corvette Z06’s debut, we’re still hopeful the brand manages to take the wraps off the car in early 2021 and ship it to dealers before the end of the year as a 2022 model. That said, it’s possible the Z06 won’t arrive until sometime in 2022 as a 2023 model.

Regardless, prepare to spend a good chunk more change to get into the car. Frankly, we’ll be surprised if the Z06 stickers for anything south of $80,000. That’s pricey for a Corvette (consider the Stingray starts at $59,995). Still, compared to the 572-hp Porsche 911 Turbo, which starts at more than $170,000, the Z06 is sure to be a relative steal given its performance capabilities.

This ’70s Italian Freak Job Is Actually a Chevy Camaro

The second-generation Chevy Camaro cemented the pony car as a very American expression of automotive muscle. You’re probably hearing a wailing hair metal riff in your head as you’re thinking about it, actually. But what if the Camaro went a different direction, with European styling that’s more Turin than Detroit? It actually happened, and it’s our understanding that Chevrolet commissioned the design. You’re looking at the 1976 Chevrolet Camaro Europo Hurst, designed by Pietro Frua—a glimpse into an alternate reality where this arch-nemesis of the Ford Mustang paired Italian styling with American brawn.

Is it the prettiest of Frua’s designs? Probably not. Frua penned a number of distinctive Maseratis, and some interesting Glas and Monteverdi designs, too. The Frua Camaro is very mid-1970s, with a blacked out front end that recalls the Pininfarina-designed Lancia Beta Montecarlo/Scorpion. The rear hatch is flanked by a couple of large, triangular quarter windows, with high-mounted Firebird taillights hovering over a strange scalloped-in rear panel. The big impact bumpers don’t do it any favors, but overall the Europo Hurst is distinctive and has presence.

Even if it’s not classically handsome to modern eyes, there’s the sense that a this design might have evolved into something like a grand tourer. Think about the Jensen Interceptor, which featured sheetmetal that conveyed more of a sense of brawn than beauty—or the Jaguar XJS, which was arguably prettier but equally muscular. The long overhangs and low roofline give it a sense of speed, and the quad sealed beam headlights hunkering underneath their black-painted brows look very aggressive. Perhaps Frua could have given the Europo Hurst another round of revisions and made the Camaro into the Italian masterpiece he was hoping for.

Mechanically, the Europo Hurst is pure Camaro, rocking a 350-cubic-inch small block V-8 and a four-speed manual. GM would later return to the idea of wrapping an Italian body around American mechanicals later with the Cadillac Allanté. Of course, air-mailing chassis to and from Turin to get bodied by Pininfarina wasn’t exactly a cost-effective strategy. Surely, had a Frua-designed Camaro made it to production, the body would have had to be made in America.

Weird? Sure. Cool? Yeah, even if it’s a bit homely. The Frua Camaro is one of the stranger Chevrolets we’ve ever seen, and if you are intrigued enough to actually buy it, this one (the only one, actually) is for sale at RM Sotheby’s. There’s no reserve and the auction house expects it to sell for between $80,000 and $120,000 as part of the Mitosinka Collection auction in September.
