The slowdown in one of the economy's biggest sectors is workers assemble a car at an FCA India Automobiles manufacturing facility. Many industries like steel, cement, electrical equipment, and furniture industry are suffering as a result of the ailing real estate sector.

Automobile Industry India slowdown, is it Coronavirus effect?

As per the study conducted by The Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM) the pandemic is one prime reason that has played a vital role leading to this slowdown but is not the only reason. The compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of the domestic passenger vehicle industry was 12.9% between 1989-1990 & 1999-2000. It dropped to 10.3% between 1999-2000 and 2009-2010, in the last decade it further dropped to 3.6%.

Blender model to prove I did not steal the model

Hello everyone, after a weeks worth of work, and all the new knowledge gained from creating the Y-Shot, I present to you my second completed (well, not really) creation... THE RIPTIDE.

Based off of the McLaren P1, this quick hybrid supercar will be able to deliver you anywhere you want in a matter of seconds. Although this vehicle is not 100% because I want the interior to look near perfect, I have decided to post this vehicle in progress to get some feedback.

As for performance, I think its reasonable to make it slightly faster then the Lambo, with overall good stats. I also plan on making the GTR version of this vehicle, and hopefully figure out a way to make the built in wing work. I believe that's all for now, I will update this post when the whole project is complete, along with its GTR counterpart. Sorry for the bad pics btw, also its called the Riptide because I based it off a blue McLaren P1 Hotwheel I had when I was younger.

Now every real car enthusiast will say “it doesn’t matter what car it is if the person driving it is happy” or some generic thing like that, I totally agree but this isn’t what I’m talking about.

What I’m talking about is the expectation for Japanese cars in general. There is a huge community of jdm enthusiasts (Japanese domestic market) ((imported Japanese cars)), late 80s to early 2000s Japanese cars. Now I’m a Japanese person, I was born in japan and my parents are both Japanese. It’s no secret that Japanese people and culture have a way with respecting things and attention to detail. This is why japan makes high quality cars, stationary, food, fine crafts, literature, computers and so on. (Not to say other countries don’t have developments but this is pretty obvious). This culture combined with the youth’s obsession with cars in the golden age of Japanese cars created one of the most influential car cultures in the world. I believe that the Nissan GT-R had made global headlines when a 50k$ car was beating the 911 turbo at 230k. But it wasn’t by chance or magic that this happened.

The Japanese market for high performance cars had never really been that big in Japan, as they started reaching the golden age like the rx7, Supra, 240sx, gtr, s15, and so on, they had been entering an economic decline, their birth rates were dropping and so on. This relates to the economic prosperity of Korea and the mass manufacturing developments with China and how the United States had been controlling many aspects of Japan’s trade since the war. What this means is that there were not that many high paying jobs and adjusted to inflation, minimum wage was about 6$. (It’s still pretty close to that). In a country based on mass technical skill based manufacturing exports, people weren’t able to afford 100k$ sports cars, so that is why they mass developed and over engineerd their engines and chassis designs. To make it extremely practical and affordable while conforming to user base meta. However even then, owning a sports car in japan didn’t make any sense, Japan’s highway speed limit is 80kmh and 40kmh in the city, they had extremely restrictive emissions regulations, cars would be impounded and junked for speeding. So what’s the point of a performance car? A lot of what applied on top still applies to this day but one of the bigger points is that it is totally illegal to make any performance modifications or major body modifications and you have to send in your car for regulatory inspection and send proof of inspection to the government every year. Engine modifications and drifting was enough to get you imprisoned. The only people doing this were delinquents, wealthy businessmen, and those who had protection from the Japanese mafia or had political power. This era of strict automotive regulations but with the Japanese culture of over engineering things gave birth to a few heroes: like Kei Miura who made aero kits for track cars now know as (rocket bunny), Kazuhiko Nagata who is best knows for building some of the highest performance Japanese modified cars in history (and doing 220mph in london with a v12 Supra), and Tsuchiya Keiichi or “drift king” (a famous racecar driver who was so successful in racing that he got bored and started intentionally under steering his cars in races).

With all this, the western youth car enthusiast group interpreted it as “Japanese manufacturers made super cars for super cheap and created a platform that was very easy to modify” this is why you see twin turbo 2jz supras do 1000hp 2.4sec 0-60 runs. But this new breed of car enthusiasts are in my opinion at least, very stupid. Modifying any car isn’t actually that cheap and any performance oriented car after 60% of its values in tuning and modifications that are detrimental to its practicality and longevity will beat a quarter million dollar supercar in launch or power.

What pisses me off are stupid people who claim that companies killed their best cars by changing them. The world doesn’t revolve around them, they should know that in mass car manufacturers, their high performance cars contribute only a tiny bit to their overall revenue, there is comparatively much less demand for a new Supra. It’s no surprise that the new mk5 Supra was based off of a bmw platform, Toyota of all companies have absolutely no incentive to ground up design a high performance car for a handful of fanboys in a western country when normal cars are dying off in general in Japan. Other than speed and flex factor, there is no reason to own anything bigger than a K-car (or Japanese microcars that have tax exemptions, good fuel economy, are affordable and practical for Japanese roads). So the idea that they should even try to build a car for a western meta is already stupid. once more,it frustrates me to see these kids insult this car because of its performance numbers, it’s a 45k$ car!, why are you expecting it to do 600hp and top out at 180mph like a gtr does? Modern cars have modern regulations, it makes no sense to me. This same logic applies to the hate of all modern Japanese sports cars.

TLDR: Jdm Supra fanboys are stupid because their expectations and hate for the new Supra are not grounded in reality.

So, the next season starts off like this season did, with an event, Agent Jones has snook to the top of the spire to find the foundation, when he is up there, Doctor Slone attacks him, they have a brawl, Slone then pulls out some Dual Pistols and starts shooting Jones, Jones pulls out his Zero Point shooter thing and shoots Slone, Slone attacks Jones and holds him over the edge of the spire, Slone takes Jones gun and Jones holds Slone off the edge, she drops the portal gun and is forced to jump down and get it, but the portal gun shakes, and a reality wave happens then, a UFO picks Slone up as she is falling, Jones looks in shock, he looks towards Colossal Crops (now called Alien Alley) Jonesy breaks down and looks over the fortnite map, the player then appears behind him, he asks the player to follow him, they walk down the Spire, the Spire and Boney Burbs are still here this season, when you and Jones get to the bottom, Jones has a supercar, he drives you to Alien Alley, it is extremely futuristic, you and Jones have to sneak through Alien alley, you sneak through a security checkpoint and punch an alien, you have to sneak through more buildings until you get to an alien holding the portal gun, “Coral Castle” it repeats, Jones punches the alien and it screams, he picks up the portal gun and teleports back to the spire so to recap

After much contemplation, today I bought the F-GT rig (standard one, not the lite. What I'm going to say doesn't apply to the lite version).

I picked this rig cause I really wanted a Formula position aside from the regular GT position.

I didn't find any videos on YouTube showing the process to switch it from GT to formula position, but I wanted it so bad that I told myself I'm willing to live with it no matter how much effort it takes to switch positions.

Well, that was a very poor assessment.

It is an absolutely agonizing experience to make the transition to formula position and vice versa. Only amplified by how poorly the quality control of the build of the rig is. Bolt holes barely line up and it takes quite a lot of force to get most bolts in.

Takes about 30 min for me just to do the switch.

I've tried finding a good median between the positions to be good enough to simulate both GT and Formula cars but I've yet to come across a solution.

I bought it from Canada Computers which has a no return policy, which sucks because I would definitely exchange this for the F-GT Lite if I could. There are many videos on the F-GT Lite showing the switch of positions and it is far easier to do and can be done in as little as 5 minutes, and without any tools.

For me, the only thing I didn't like about the Lite version was that I thought the seat in the GT position was too high from the pedals to accurately simulate the low feel of sports cars and supercars in general. For me it's a big deal but for you, maybe not.

Perhaps the frustration of the switch I'm experiencing was perpetuated by the 3 hours of agonizing and frustrating assembly and setup of the rig, but still, I really can't see myself doing this shit every single day.

So guys, unless you are ready for 30 minute episodes of intense physical labour and frustration every time you want to switch positions, or you intend on keeping it in one of the positions most of the time, stay away from this rig, or get the Lite version.

A friend and I saw a green and black supercar yesterday. At quick glance, it looked like a Bugatti Chiron, but considering the rarity that seemed unlikely (there are only 20 in the world). My friend thought it was a McLaren P1, which is also very valuable and rare (less than 500). Either way, there are only a handful of these cars around. Does anyone know which model it was or whose it was? We're just curious.

Why do companies not make i.e a supercar body, with a standard cars components and materials?
I would buy a Mclaren with 150hp and without carbon fibre. Ofcourse the parts have to be compatible, fit and everything but surely an automobile company could design something like this?

2022 Toyota Highlander Hybrid Bronze Edition: Bronze Is the New Black

Toyota is introducing a Bronze Edition of the Highlander Hybrid for 2022. The Bronze Edition treatment spruces up the somewhat dowdy family SUV by way of radiant bronze-colored wheels and a handful of interior enhancements.

The Bronze Edition is exclusive to the gasoline-electric Highlander Hybrid and comes painted in one of two colors: Cement (a Bronze Edition exclusive) or Wind Chill Pearl. The Wind Chill Pearl paint is new for the fourth-generation Toyota Highlander. Available in front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive forms, the Highlander Hybrid Bronze Edition’s most distinct feature is arguably its bronze-colored 18-inch wheels. These rims certainly push the envelope—and may even push some buttons.

Meanwhile, the Highlander Hybrid Bronze Edition’s interior welcomes the likes of illuminated bronze door sill plates, bronze stitching, mid-century inspired faux-leather seating upholstery with fabric inserts, and special floor and cargo mats, with each featuring an embroidered logo in bronze. Toyota adds other bronze-colored accents, including bronze stitching on the door panels and dashboard, throughout the Bronze Edition’s cabin.

The Bronze Edition builds on the Highlander Hybrid XLE trim. In addition to the XLE’s list of standard equipment, the Bronze Edition features a digital rearview mirror, rain-sensing wipers, a 1500-watt power outlet, in-dash ambient lighting, and more.

Like other Highlander Hybrids, the Bronze Edition relies on a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine and two electric motors (three for all-wheel-drive models). The combination currently nets a peak of 243 hp. Although Toyota didn’t share power figures for the 2022 Highlander Hybrid, we wager the model will maintain the same output as today’s Highlander Hybrid.

Similarly, Toyota’s yet to announce a starting price for the Highlander Hybrid Bronze Edition, however, the brand notes the model falls between the Highlander Hybrid XLE and Highlander Hybrid Limited, each of which currently starts at $42,710 and $46,665, respectively. Look for the 2022 Toyota Highlander Hybrid Bronze Edition to go on sale later this year.
