I'm a big car guy, but my interest manifests in such specific ways (mainly focused on automative history) that I can't point it in any specific direction. I can elaborate about the changing role and the demise of the American fullsize car, geek out at old car comparisons or discuss the various supercars of the 1970s, but I don't see any way of using it in a professional context.
All I can imagine is some sort of a "did you know" book listing fun facts about cars, like the 1964 Mustang having broken 75 of Ford's in-house design rules, but I don't think you can make a living out of that.
