I'm 'very' new to collecting, and my interest is purely in real world racing cars and supercars.

I'm trying to understand why some cars have nice metal bases to them and rubber tires, and some do not, despite various ones being part of a collection. For example, the Fast and the Furious cars are nice quality with metal bases and rubber tires, but the Gran Turismo or Forza Motorsport cars do not.

Any way to tell which ones will do this or not?
