I had a look at some top level sports.
Marc Marquez holds the most MotoGP poles ever, at 62.
Jamie Whincup holds the most (V8) Supercar pole positions, at 91.
Indycar is unclear to me who holds the most, but maybe Will Power? At 55 poles.
