Today was a good day.

At least, it definitively turned into one within the last half hour or so. Started off my morning strong. Finally went for it and dove down the Switch hole that I've been talking about for a while now. Then I went to work. Boy, did I work. Trainings, organization, burning the oil to get things done because you are out of time and have to scramble to make shit work. The whole shebang. Got the most epic shirt in the mail though!

Above all that: past the excitement of finally being able to play Breath of the Wild; beyond the horizon of a satisfying, busy workday; through the valley of dank-ass apparel; the most satisfying feeling lays with but the simple feeling of sunlight on my skin.

I went for a walk around the block, heading down by the river along the way. 'Tis a pleasant afternoon after all. 70's. Partly cloudy. Even a nice breeze rolling over the mountains. Though it took but only a quarter-mile to complete my loop I nevertheless felt a phenomenal sense of peace wash over me. I passed people who were fishing, playing with their dogs, smokin' a bowl, and even riding a mini-four-wheeler... yeah, that one surprised me too. Echoes of crashing current lingered in my ears as my slides slapped along the ground - and then thought occurred to me - these people have no idea that I am about to be very, very wealthy. It made me smile at such blissful ignorance; that I was but one of the crowd, inconspicuous and going about their day.

And then as I rounded the corner to my apartment I decided to have a good sit on my two landing stairs connected to my door, the sun beaming down on me. It only took a mere fifteen minutes... but damn, I feel good! A little sweaty, but in that odd, pleasant sort of way. Warm. Get yo' vitamin
D therapy, kiddos (and maybe a little vitamin C to balance it out!). You might be surprised how much a little bit can do.

Ahhhh.... shit. A day like this demands a drink or three. Gotta run to the store, BRB bb.

Oh, well he just up and left, guess I need to queue the opener. First Thing's First!

\pops cap** Ahhhhhh....I love bubbles.

Where were we? Oh! S&P Mid-Cap 400! WOOOOO!!! Another day, another good piece of news for our favorite stock! And another big ol' dipper. Whoulda thunk it?

Ah yes, every single one of us. We all done thunkt it.

How much abject narcissism must it take to routinely short a stock as regularly as GME is? Someone's compensating... or is just really, really, really dumb. Quite possibly both. Do you need to talk Steve? Ken? I can't help you if you don't ask for the help yourself. C'mon y'all, it's time for an intervention.

I think that gives us a perfect opportunity to talk about not getting too far ahead of ourselves. As a concept I think we all can understand when the point of, "oh... I had better cool off now" has come to pass. One too many drinks... a text you want back... going up that extra few feet for a dive. You know, things that clearly trigger our sense of self-preservation in one way or another.

As for the obvious question - no - we are not getting ahead of ourselves with the stock. Hell, I'd say we are tempered compared to the hype we should be feeling. Folks, we are all about to be multimillionaires. That's hype! That's SO FUCKING HYPE! And yet, while we have a good time and enjoy every little good thing, I would say that on a relative scale we have been pretty gosh darn tame throughout this whole thing.

We all are responsible for our own (in)actions. It's the burden that adulthood has blessed us with. To know the limitations of what we can physically or mentally accomplish is a keystone to maintaining a healthy lifestyle. And no, it's not a limiter, but a measuring stick by which you can track your progress on whatever goals you may have. Truly it is ok to say, "I don't think I'm capable of that yet. I'm not about to start racing F1 cars or outgaining bodybuilders, ya know? Driving and working out are hobbies, but I'm just not that person because I choose not to be, and I know that I would need a lot of training to get to that point.

Clearly it would seem that Steve, Ken, and others are out of their depth when it comes to their financial management skills. The beauty of what retail has accomplished is that even though some of us may not be ready to do things like make DD, moderate, or other awesome things, others are. It's people contributing their own strengths to a greater whole - helping others understand without them having gone through the work to accomplish the practice themselves.

Huh... it really is a social cheat code.

No you dipshit shills, not in a manipulative sense.

All of us simply know better what we are good at than those people who are panicking behind their desks of bullshit.

And guess what? The yardstick of our knowledge and capability as individuals continues to grow every. single. day.

Apes Can Has Zoomies

https://www.reddit.com/r/Superstonk/comments/ot6viq/lamborghini_salesman_dealing_with_apes/

Alright you wrench-jockeys, I know we all want to drive fast, exotic cars. They've been flaunted in front of our faces our whole lives - full of sexy designs and ballistic engine noises. Somehow, someway the car has become one of the ultimate status symbols in society... for better or worse.

Yes, I know not everyone has an appetite for petrol. I'll try to be considerate of that. Myself, though? Good golly, the first time I played a McLaren F1 in Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit 2... I was hooked. The F1 became a wet dream of a possibility. Today, thought its greatness is still recognized, modern tech has shot forth the possibilities of what can be possible on the road. McLarens on the whole I suppose. I remember walking back from class in Edinburgh to see the inverted swoosh on a random side street. Awe filled my being - it was the first time I had seen one up close. I'm not entirely sure what it is - the necessity of vehicles in life comes to mind - but damn, I just love cars. Growing up on the original Fast & Furious movies certainly didn't do anything to quell that interest.

Obligatory FAMILY \cough**

What do I want to say here? Well, we've all seen the phrase: "Wen Lambo?" It's fun to be sure, and I think it's great that so many people want to finally experience the thrill of a supercar for themselves.

I just don't want you all to wrap them around a tree right out of the gate. We all know that the headline, "GameStop billionaire totals Bugatti on local trash can" is an inevitability. So let me make the plea that if you do harness a stupid amount of horsies in your engine block take the time to understand them. Take some professional driving courses. Go back to the mall where you first learned how to drive and really get a deep feel for the power at your fingertips. Keep in mind too that these things aren't going to be cheap to fix either. If you're like me and the closest exotic car dealership is a few States away... well let's just say that I'll focus on getting the Ford Bronco Sport I've been eyeing well before I walk into the Aston Martin dealership.

Don't. Be. Stupid. Yes, every now and then on an empty straight go for it and gun the fuckin' thing; we've all been there. But doing it down Hollywood Boulevard on a Saturday afternoon is a good way to end up with your car confiscated, being put in jail, or having a horrendous accident.

Think, Ape! You don't want, "Wen Lambo" to turn into "Wen Lambo getting legs free adaptation" because you cracked your L4 after going 70 in a 30 and becoming good friends with a pine tree.

Enjoy your ride. You will never hear me tell you not to have a little fun behind the wheel. Understand though that those things are literal death machines if put into the wrong hands. And for the love of all things good in this world, don't fucking drink and drive or I'll slash your tires myself so you're forced to call an Uber home.

All that said... looking forward to the first car show this community hosts. 😎

God... what have they done to you F&F.

Hit Them Dingers Yard, Friends

https://www.reddit.com/r/Superstonk/comments/ot8ba5/im_gonna_buy_a_bigger_garden_after_moass/

Wherever you find yourself living after the MOASS, I have but one life recommendation for you - make sure you have a yard.

If you want to hang out in the concrete jungle and live the penthouse life I wish you the best. I can tell you with 100% certainty though you are missing something truly special by not having your own space in which you can call over a few friends, build a fire pit, and laugh the night away as you stare at the beautiful starry skies above.

Yes, they are a pain in the butt to maintain at times. However, those of us who have spent the time mowing a 2-hour lawn can vouch for the satisfaction of finally finishing off that last tuft of grass. The smell of it in the air... The beautiful design of the lines marked into the Earth... MHMMMMMM THAT IS SMEXY! Why do you think they make a lawn mowing simulator?

Or just call a lawn crew to do it for you, whatever floats your boat fam.

It just... it provides so much room for activities! Cornhole tournaments. Spikeball tournaments. Kan Jam tournaments. SUCH COMPETITION, MUCH WOW!

But naw, you got your dinner parties, your gardening space, a place to build a swing-set for the kiddos, and perhaps best of all: a place to run your animals around. Ah... the joy of watching a dog shove their face against the dirt and just roll around like an idiot... that's bliss. Do it for the pooches... or the horses or the pigs or goats or whatever mythical creature you want to watch enjoy themselves on free terrain. Such a beautiful thing.

MOASS and get grass, my friends.

Rally's Cap

It's hard for me to express how important the next phrase I'm about to write is:

Get the fucking warranty.

Remember how my car blew up? Finally heard back. My warranty (in month 10 of 12 mind you) is gonna cover a whole new engine. Estimated cost of all the parts needed to rebuild one? 9 grand. Amount of money to Rally's name? Not 9 grand. A $200 co-pay though... that I can manage. Folks it's going to cost me less to get a new fucking motor than it did to have some sparkplugs and ignition coils exchanged...

Rally is not Fuk. Barely.

I... have no idea what I would've done if I didn't have that warranty. What do people even do?

Thinking on it now, I can't help but wonder if my experience is one more example to chalk up to just how fucking awful our modern economy is - bequeathed to us by the same beings who continue to short the stock day after day. In a weird way it makes this whole saga that much more personal.

Buying the Switch Lite feels like a victory lap - money I saved on a major repair because I have a piece of paper that gives my car a mulligan. You'd better believe I'll take that stroke of good luck and celebrate the shit out of it. There's a part of me though that is almost thankful for the experience - I learned a lot about having to sort all this stuff out. It sucked. It continues to be a drag. But now I know how to react when I have a "catastrophic engine failure" (their words, not mine) in the middle of a crowded intersection.

It's funny how our society is governed by contracts. We write things on pieces of paper that say there's a specific obligation between two or more parties, and yet there is nothing stopping anyone involved from doing whatever they wish regardless of what the piece of paper says. Like money, it's all made up. Value exists in it because enough people believe it does, but at the end of the day it's just a piece of paper with a tangible value of naught but kindling and coke straws.

I suppose it's evidence of Good in the world - that people will honor and respect one another; to uphold the arrangements that bind us together. What does that say about the SHFs who mercilessly naked short GME? I'll let you be the judge.

Be it a stop sign to prevent us from ramming our Lambos into one another. Be it a hedge to ensure that what is on one person's lawn doesn't infringe on someone else's. Be it a monetary policy that prevents synthetic shares to be created. The human lexicon of ethics has built us the code of law and order for a reason. What that reason is? We might never fully grasp. But it simply makes sense. And what the SHFs are doing? It makes no sense at all. In time, make no mistake, the lawful and Good -hodlers of GME - will rule the day.

Keep being great folks. Tomorrow is a new day.

Have some fun. Give someone a hug. Tell someone you love them.

And hodl. Don't forget to hodl.
