However I think it was when they made the decision to have military grade gear easily accessible.

Obviously this is just my opinion, but I feel like the game would be more rewarding and balanced if military gear was much harder to acquire.

For example, if you wanted to fly a military jet you would need to steal one from the military base, same with tanks.

Obtaining a laser minigun doesn’t sit well with me when I look at what GTA used to be. The adder was a symbol of status, owning a conventional minigun meant you were experienced, and stealing a jet was a thing to plan with friends.

The accessibility of hydras, oppressors, miniguns, orbital cannons, super cars, and nuclear subs takes away from the sense of accomplishment and add to toxicity in my opinion.

How often do you see car meets, or car meets that don’t end with a griefer killing everyone?

How often do you see someone abusing an oppressor?

My optimal GTA (once again my opinion) would be primarily small arms, grenades, and ricer type cars.

Seeing someone in a non supercar at this point is crazy, and rockstar has the audacity to take a Honda Civic and sell it for 1.2million.

I think everyone having a project car and slowly upgrading it would be better than “here’s my 12 car garage full of maxed out super cars”.

Reducing how much you receive from jobs and heists and selling cars and items at real life prices instead of artificially inflating a white T-shirt to cost 12,000 would be an improvement as well.

In all honesty yes I’m sick of GTAs new playstyle, and I do miss the “less toxic” older GTA. You could organize a car meet in five minutes, go to the pier and go on the roller coaster, set up impromptu races, drive your shitty cars around the city, plan to steal a jet and spend thirty minutes buying armor and ammo just to see a tank in the base, freak out, and get one shot.
