After seemingly endless leaks and teasers, as well as an early look at a prototype, the 2022 Acura MDX is finally here. And just about everything about Acura’s fourth-generation three-row crossover SUV is new, including its bodywork, chassis, platform, interior, and all-wheel-drive system. Predictably, all these updates come at a price.
While the 2020 Acura MDX started at $45,525 (and $56,025 for the sportier MDX A-Spec), the 2022 MDX starts at $47,925. That’s a $2,400 jump in price. As before, the 2022 MDX comes standard with front-wheel drive, although all-wheel drive (or SH-AWD in Acura parlance) adds $2,000 to the bill.
Want a sporty looking 2022 MDX A-Spec? Then get ready to cut a check for either $58,125. Opt for the top-of-the-line Advance package-equipped 2022 MDX and plan to spend $61,675. That sum, however, nets items such as two 12.3-inch displays, a 10.3-inch head-up display, a 710-watt ELS 3D audio system, SH-AWD, and more.
We also know the more driver-focused MDX Type S is due in the middle of 2021. This model is due to come with even more goodies, such as a 1,000-watt ELS 3D audio system, Brembo brakes, and a turbocharged 3.0-liter V-6 that kicks out 355 hp.
There’s no word on how much the Type S will cost just yet, but we’d wager it’ll sticker for north of $65,000.
