Hellowwww fellow quarantiners, and welcome to another edition of "tuning for fun and profit"! As usual you can find these tunes under the Gamertag "MetaSomma" and they're all called "Hive something".
- The Trial: A class Lotus - Exige S
- This is the same tune we used for the Lotus race last week. Just pull it back out and you're good to go!
- Games: B class retro rally - Lancia Delta HF Integrale Evo
- I picked this car because it's actually C class, so we have a lot of room to work with. Then I added every bit of weight to it that I could to push the PI down even lower. An engine swap and a bunch more horsepower give this little sleeper a real kick during games.
- As a side note, my approach to games tuning is basically akin to how they build cars in the show "Roadkill". They're ugly, they don't make sense, but they will run and they will put out horsepower come hell or high water.
- Highly Sprung: B class hot hatch - Audi S1
- This is actually a dirt series, so look for my "Hive B Games" tune for this one. The Audi has AWD plus a lot more get-up-and-go than others in this category, so it should be an easy win. This tune was made before I really developed my "games" method, so it's actually more of a rally tune.
- Old Habits: B class vintage racers - Napier-Railton
- I absolutely love this category. Give me the classics, please! I picked this car because it's by far the cheapest, most of these buggers are 10M a piece. This guy is only 1M. I also left the stock engine/trans in it because I dig the old-school sound and feel of it. Just remember, these old racers are tricky to handle, so be careful! If you want an easy-button, try my tune for the Bentley 4-1/2 Liter, it's swapped to hell but it will get you through the race if you're having a tough time.
- Ferrari Rocher: S1 Italian modern supercars- Lambo Gallardo Spyder Performante
- Another Ferrari v Lambo showdown (there are a couple others but come on, Ferrari is in the name). I picked the G-wagon Spyder (fight me) because you can do bad things with its acceleration. Watch your throttle on this one.
- PR Stunts: The usual suspects, Shelby KC for speed traps, F40C for speed zones, Mosler for jumps
Okay that wraps up Spring for this series. Have fun, and let me know if you're having trouble with a particular race, I can build a car that will make it easier for you.
Wash your damn hands, and cheers!
