Hyundai Veloster N Performance Concept Hits SEMA 2019 With a Bigger Wing

The Hyundai Veloster N is heading to the SEMA 2019 show equipped with a full lineup of accessories. Cosmetic and performance-enhancing parts will be shown, but Hyundai hasn’t said when or if they’ll be available. The Veloster N Performance Concept is similar to the i30 N Option show vehicle from the 2018 Paris auto show, which also features a number of design upgrades and go-fast bits.

Performance parts being shown on the Hyundai Veloster N Performance Concept include Extreme Racing coilover suspension with H&R coil springs, Daewon steel front and rear anti-roll bars, a WIF chassis brace and aluminum caliper bracket, Alcon six-piston front- and four-piston rear brake calipers, 19-inch OZ forged racing wheels, and Pirelli P Zero Corsa tires.

In addition to the orange accents and brake calipers, you’ll be able to distinguish the Veloster N Performance Concept with its KWA hood, grille and fog light accents, a front splitter, a taller rear spoiler, side sills with orange accents, orange side mirror covers, and Capristo cat-back anodized exhaust outlets. You’ll find more special details inside the cabin, featuring Sabelt Alcantara and carbon front sport seats with an orange stripe, an aluminum shifter, colored seatbelts, a red engine start/stop button, an Alcantara steering wheel with an orange center marker, and additional orange interior trim.

In stock form, the Hyundai Veloster N comes with a 2.0-liter turbo-four making 250 hp and 260 lb-ft of torque. This engine is paired exclusively to a six-speed manual transmission. The Performance package ups output to 275 hp and adds extras like a dual-mode exhaust, an electronically controlled limited-slip differential, and 19-inch alloy wheels.

At last year’s SEMA show, Hyundai showed off performance parts for the less powerful Veloster Turbo and R-Spec models. These updates included a Borla exhaust system, lightweight alloy wheels, Eibach springs and anti-roll bars, and a K&N high-flow air filter. In addition to the Veloster N Performance Concept, Hyundai will also show the Veloster “Grappler” Concept at the SEMA 2019 show.
