Sporty comes in all automotive shapes and sizes. The 2019 Detroit auto show is the latest example of that, with Ford’s powerful Explorer ST said to be sportier (and more powerful) than the average 2020 Explorer. At the Detroit show, there’s also the 700-plus-horsepower Mustang Shelby GT500 and, oh yeah, the return of the legendary Supra nameplate from Toyota.
