As someone who writes about cars, it was very frustrating to live in central Pennsylvania, where it was common to go for a month or more without seeing anything fancier than a new Mustang.
I just moved to Vermont, a little south of Burlington. Now, this isn't LA, and there aren't supercars on everywhere, but the variety of cool stuff is just so refreshing. I see a classic Porsche every day, as well as some incredible old, super clean Mercedes. Lots of well-off retired guys taking their dream cars out for a Sunday drive. My neighbor fixes up old cars as well, seems to be driving something different every day. There's also this amazing 1951 Ford pickup that I've seen a few times that looks like this http://www.secondchancegarage.com/classic-car-photogallery15/1951-ford-f1-pickup/1951-ford-f1-pickup-dsf.jpg
There's some new stuff too. The other day I looked out the window and saw a McLaren followed by a Lotus, followed by a 911. That would literally never happen where I was.
Anyway, there's not much of a point to this other than saying it is so awesome to finally be around people that drive and take care of unique and interesting cars. Maybe in another 30 years I'll be able to afford my own haha. For now it's nice to just look.
