Welcome to Mondays on the Mulsanne! This is the /r/WEC weekly questions thread. If you've got any questions about Le Mans, the WEC, or Endurance Sportscars in general, this is the place to ask!

Firstly, we hope you enjoyed our little April Fools stunt. We figured, as a lot of the current top WEC drivers are graduates from the official WEC Feeder Series (formula 1), we should make them feel at home by using the old logo, and paying tribute to one of the stalwarts of the era, Fernando Alonso who is solely responsible for the need to shift the Fuji event so it clashes with Petit Le Mans i'm not salty not at all

A few things from us;

  • : WE'RE BACK BABY! After an extended break, the WEC is finally back with the WEC/ELMS Prologue Test at Paul Ricard, France. For the first time, the prologue will feature a continuous 30 hour test session, and we will have a thread featuring hopefully live timing, any potential radio streams, and any and all cameras at the track if that ever possibly happens, right here, this weekend.

  • : Also on this weekend is the launch of the Blancpain Sprint Series! The premier GT3 series in Europe hits the track at Zolder this weekend, in what is sure to be a cracking start to the new season. Supporting the event will be the GT4 European and GT4 Belgian series + Belcar Endurance.

  • : Also in the world of GT, we have racing today! Monday sees the opening of the British GT series at Oulton Park. Big news from qualifying - Flick Haigh became the first woman to claim an outright pole position in the series' history! Elsewhere in the world, there's Porsche GT3 action in the middle east and at Brands Hatch, a 3 hour endurance cup plus Italian GT at Mugello, and round 2 of the VLN!

  • OT: There's a ridiculous amount of other racing on this weekend as well, with round 3 of the V8 Supercars, round 2 of Moto GP, round 2 of F1, round 2 of Indycar, and finally the opening round of Super GT (shout out to /r/super_gt), so there's no excuse to not be watching motorsports this weekend!

  • :While we try and sort out organising the Sebring wrap/WEC prologue preview podcast (my bad on this one), /u/kriswascher97, with the help of special guest RJ O'Connell, put together a preview of the Super GT and Super Taikyu seasons! You can find that episode [here](). You may notice that it is now on a new host - we've moved our service from Libsyn to Podbean, and it will take a while for us to sort out feeds and images and stuff (mostly because we're a little lazy), so be patient, and you'll soon have us delivered straight to your eardrums again soon!

Finally, here at /r/WEC have been trialling and implementing the use of a Discord server for races and also general community interaction. If you used the discord for Sebring, please pass on any comments, questions, or feedback, positive or negative, in this thread. This is to help us help the community, and any feedback you have informs our decisions going forward.

We're working on improvements to put the finishing touches on the server to be ready for the Prologue. I know it's annoying/inconvenient, but please be patient with us. We're trying to find the best combination that serves everything that we want to see in the community in the most effective way possible, and we're trying a few things behind the scenes to see how that goes.

As always, check out the FAQ, and last week's Tertre Rouge Tuesday. Any comments, questions or feedback about any of the above? Either comment down below or message the moderators
