Just heard about Formula One making the decision to stop using grid girls, and as the title explains, I am of the opinion that it's infantile, unnecessary and stupid. It doesn't actually achieve anything and it's just another case of political correctness gone mad (as if it hasn't already).
First of all, it's a case of the loud and mentally deficient feminists overruling every other woman, including those who made the choice to take up that profession and enjoy doing it. Funny, considering they're supposed to be the ones fighting for women's rights and empowerment yet they go ahead and tell women what they can and cannot do. If the grid girls themselves enjoy their job (which they won't have now thanks to this), who are they to judge? As anyone with a brain would do, if they don't like seeing grid girls on F1, then they don't have to watch F1, nobody is forcing them. In fact, most of the ones who advocated for this probably don't watch it to begin with. This sort of shit was never a problem only a few years ago, but it seems the rabid SJW's obviously have nothing better to do with their time than this.
Furthermore, while I have never attended a formula one event, I have attended the V8 Supercars from time to time, which just so happens to have grid girls there as well. Of all the times I've been there, this has never been an issue. Nobody has ever complained about it, least of all the grid girls themselves. So if they are happy doing a job that they willingly chose to do, I don't see what the problem is here and getting rid of it in F1 doesn't actually solve anything.
